The Beaches of Southwest Florida’s Gulf Coast are the primary attraction for many visitors and residents of the Paradise Coast. We are protective and proud of the variety and beauty of the special places where the land meets the sea and the white-silver sand meets your toes. Gulf of Mexico waters are warmer than the Atlantic side and ocean swimming here is year-round. Gulf of Mexico waters in Southwest Florida seldom drop much below 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter months. The SW FL Gulf of Mexico waters warm to over 90 degrees during summer.

TOP SWFL GULF OF MEXICO BEACHES
DELNOR-WIGGINS PASS (Florida State Park)
This Florida State Park is located at the western end of Immokalee Road just south of where the Cocohatchee River empties into the Gulf of Mexico. The park is a lush wildlife habitat with mangroves covering 80% of the area. The park offers several shaded picnic and grilling areas along the length of the beach. A concession stand is available that offers food, drinks, and beach items. A bathhouse is also available with changing stalls. Phone 239.597.6196 to check on the latest beach conditions.
CLAM PASS BEACH VACATION RENTALS
Clam Pass Park in Naples is a bit of paradise tucked in preservation lands. A boardwalk that leads to the Gulf of Mexico and the 3200-foot beach. Clam Pass Beach is located in the north Naples area and is surrounded by local wildlife like shorebirds, eagles, hawks, and osprey.
The beach is open from 8 a.m. to Sundown
There are parking spaces available. A parking fee is charged.
A handicapped beach wheelchair is available.

Lowdermilk Beach, Naples, FL
LOWDERMILK BEACH PARK
Lowdermilk Park is at the very northern end of Naples City Beach, just off Gulf Shore Blvd. The landscaped area next to the beach has a playground facility, pavilion, bathhouse, and concession stand. The beach is a short walk from the parking area. Lowdermilk Beach offers 1,000 feet of white sand beach. Enjoy the park’s playground, volleyball, and duck pond.

NAPLES PIER BEACH
The most popular Naples beach access is downtown, where the historic Naples Pier anchors the town to its past. It’s especially well-loved around sunset. The Naples Fishing Piers is one of the best places for people to watch people fishing and looking for jumping dolphins and hungry pelicans. The Naples Pier is located at the west end of 12th Ave. South in Naples, FL.

Parking is available in a lot located one block east of the pier and limited on-street parking is available.

The Naples Pier was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. A new Naples Pier will soon be constructed.

Don Pedro Island was purchased by the state in 1984 under the Save Our Coasts program for $6 million. The ferry service was discontinued to the island. San Pedro Island is accessible only by private boat or kayak. It is approximately a 20-30 minute kayak paddle to the island. There are dock slips for public use, picnic tables, grills, and a large picnic shelter with boardwalks to the beach. Usually a quiet and secluded beach. Many shark teeth, shells, and wildlife may be spotted. Shark’s Teeth similar to the one to the right are found in the waters of Don Pedro Island.
